8-TRAFFIC DRIVER CLASS (IDI)

Course Description: Extended basic driver improvement information focusing on driving strategies, accident prevention and overall safety precautions. Taken voluntarily or court/DMV ordered. This course is available to keep points off a driver's record if the 4-hour Traffic course or the Traffic Collision Avoidance course (TCAC) course has already been taken within the past 12 months. Taking this course can avoid license suspension and the need to take the 12-hour Traffic course because it prevents points from being placed on your driver's license. In Broward County, traffic fines are reduced by 18% when drivers choose to attend traffic school.
